Klassiek@West: Phoebe Tarleton and Ana Brandao

Phoebe Tarleton is a 22 year old violinist, currently in the fourth year of her bachelor’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under the tuition of Peter Brunt. Before moving to Amsterdam in 2016, she studied as a specialist violinist, with the Music and Dance scholarship, at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset, England for 7 years with Brigid Kirkland-Wilson. As well as playing solo repertoire, Phoebe loves to play all types of chamber music.

Ana Brandão has concluded her bachelor’s degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, in 2020, having been a part of Kees Koelmans’s violin class and then falling under tutelage of professor Eliot Lawson. In the preceding years, Ana has had the pleasure of working with several big names of the classical music world – such as Joyce Tan, Joe Puglia, Guido de Neve, Miguel Simões, Lisa Jacobs, Ilya Grubert, Jason Treuting, amongst others – and of presenting herself as a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster in several venues all over Portugal, Belgium and the Netherlands. Ana is now a part of Lisa Jacob’s violin class, with whom she studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, and performs on a regular basis with the Com.Cordas Ensemble and several other chamber music formations.
