Ozaandu: Five centuries of music: a small journey with flute and oboe

Ozaandu is the result of the musical collaboration between a oboist and a flautist from Catalonia. This chamber music ensemble started in the Netherlands, on the Zaan River, through an initiative of two master students at the Conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA). They play works ranging from 16th century Renaissance music to modern compositions. They’re aiming to make this uncommon line-up more popular, and play the repertoire for flute and oboe for today’s audience. Ozaandu played at Dutch festivals, such as the Storioni festival and Down the Rabbit Hole. They also played at regional music festivals in Catalonia.

The musical journey with these melodic instruments includes a varied repertoire: English Renaissance music, baroque music from former Prussia, classical music from Austria and a selection of 20th-century music written by composers from Argentina, France, the United States and the Netherlands.
