Jewish Jazz

From Eastern European klezmer to forbidden collaborations in clubs in Harlem, New York in the 1930s and from Hollywood musicals to North African influences of today’s Israeli Mizrahi Jews, the evolution of jazz has always been heavily influenced by Jews and their musical heritage. However, this is not widely known in music history. Featuring great music written by George Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Stan Getz, Artie Shaw, Dave Brubeck and many others.
