Expo: Carleen Nieboer

Since 2022, Carleen has devoted herself to expressing her emotions through painting. For her, painting became a path to experiencing feelings. Finding the right words to express her emotions proved difficult, as she had not learned that language from an early age.

With her paintings, Carleen aims to break taboos and encourage conversations about personal struggles and hidden pains. She herself carried secrets for most of her life and discovered that some burdens are unbearable when carried alone. Through her art, she wants to help others, provide a sense of security, and show that no one is alone. Additionally, she has learned in recent times that no matter how dark it may seem, there is always light on the horizon.
