About the musicians:

Pedro Faria – Violin

Born in 2003 in Portugal, Pedro started studying organ at the age of 3. In 2012, he started playing the violin and joined CCM. In 2015, he was admitted to ARTAVE. He participated in master classes and played in various orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Young 2019. He won awards and played with renowned musicians. Pedro is currently studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music.

Teo Lien – Cello

Teo Lien, aged 19 and originally from Norway, studies with Prof Pieter Wispelwey at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He has given numerous concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player, with highlights including performances with the Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Young Philharmonic Orchestra. He has collaborated with top musicians and conductors such as Eldbjørg Hemsing, Istvan Vardai, Ilan Volkov and Mei-Ann Chen.

Luís Vaz – Piano

Luís Vaz began his piano journey at the age of seven in Portugal. His passion for music led to national and international recognition, with prizes from renowned competitions such as the “Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition”. He perfected his skills through master classes with leading pianists and in 2021 began his undergraduate studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under the direction of Hanna Shybaeva. He practices on a Steinway grand piano in his studio, kindly provided by the National Musical Instruments Fund.
