Ons Amsterdam

After the opening of the renovated Rijksmuseum building in 2013, the completely renovated gardens surrounding the museum reopened two years later. Many changes have been made to the gardens themselves and to the arrangement of building fragments, sculptures, etc. The gardens have also been made more accessible to the public.

We will walk through the gardens of the Rijksmuseum and highlight garden design and Dutch architecture, which converge here.

You will be told about the past and present of the gardens surrounding the Rijksmuseum and about all the outbuildings, building fragments, gates, gable stones and other ornaments contained therein and where they came from. Be surprised; there is so much to see and to tell.
