Mermaid Radio i.s.m. Hallo Buren

The Mermaids are back in Belcampo! Not only will they perform their brand new EP, but also some lovely new tracks will be showcased and premiered. Put on your snorkel-gear and take a dive!

Raya Hadzhieva (trumpet, electronics) and Charllotte Karlsted (vocals, live-looping) are two independent musicians based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, who met while writing music for a project in 2017. “We should really make a track together sometime”, they would often say to each other. And in February 2019 it happened: they created their first track “Waterfall Of Time” within a week. In May 2019 they were two performances and two and a half tracks along the way, and they gave their project a name: Mermaid Radio.

Mermaid Radio embodies adventurous beats, creative flow and freedom, both musically as well as poetically.
Their music can be described as a playful crossover between electronic music, indie pop and (world) jazz.
