Philomelos is an Amsterdam-based clarinet trio formed by Kerttu Keinänen (clarinet), Duleen van Gunsteren (viola) and Aarón Ormaza Vera (piano). They play a wide range of repertoire from classical until contemporary works. In their studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam they receive coaching from Marjolein Dispa and Harmen de Boer.
Kerttu Keinänen is a Finnish clarinetist and bass clarinetist. She graduated the Helsinki Conservatory of Music in 2018, and is currently studying in the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Harmen de Boer.
Duleen van Gunsteren is a violist from The Netherlands. Previously he studied violin at the School for Young Talent in The Hague with Koosje van Haeringen. Currently he studies in Amsterdam with Marjolein Dispa and Nobuko Imai. Duleen plays a viola by Jaap Bolink from 2007.
Aarón Ormaza Vera is an Ecuadorian pianist. He started his piano studies in Ecuador in Sergei Rachmaninov Conservatory, and went on to continue his studies in the Faculty of Music of the Holy Spirit University. Since 2016 he has been in Amsterdam, studying in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Jan Wijn.
