Klassiek@West: José Alberto del Cerro

José Alberto del Cerro (Albacete, Spain – 1994) starts his studies with Gloria Munuera and continues with Dra Pilar Valero in Murcia, finishing with Honor Mention. In addition of this, he has some conduction studies with the conductors Andrés Salado and Miguel Romea.

He has won prizes in competitions like Clamo music Competition, International Berlín Mozart Competition, Juventudes Musicales de Cataluña Competition, etc. He usually plays chamber music concerts, and he has won the second prize in the VII Alzira National Chamber Music Competition (2017) with Fulgencio Aparicio at violín (Jamse Duo). He is member of Mylö Trio as well.

He has received lessons from teachers like Guillermo González, Boyan Vodenitcharov, Fabio Bidini, Roland Pröll or Nino Kereselidze among others. He has played with Murcia University Orchestra, Murcia Superior Conservatory Orchestra or Cieza Young Orchestra pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin or Gershwin. He has participated with associations like ProMúsica Molina (Molina de Segura, Spain), or in festivals like Neckar Musikfestival 2017 (Weinsberg, Germany), and he has played concerts in Belgium, Nederlands or Italy also.

He has recorded some concerts for Murcia TV, and he has participated in the recording of Falla Three Cornered Hat CD for solo piano and in a monographic Chopin CD. He is studying Master in Conservatorium van Amsterdam with David Kuyken.
