This month artist Yair Aa exhibits in the Passage of De Hallen Amsterdam. In his watercolor drawings, Yair juggles perspective and his own conception of gravity. He often conjures up intimate scenes about love, family and friendship on paper.

The often initially cheerful scenes usually contain a deeper layer, when you study them better. A wonderful world full of personal stories, often linked to his Jewish background. If we want, both ‘our inner child’ and our ‘adult self’ can feel at home in Yair’s work.

The work of Yair Aa can also be seen at Gallery and Artotheek Beeldend Gesproken. The exhibition ‘Intimate scenes of a wizard’ can be seen in the Passage until Tuesday July 27th.
