Exhibition ‘Winter Atmosphere’

The exhibition ‘Winter Atmosphere’ can be admired throughout the month of December in the Passage!

Artist Jim Gijbels has a love for trains and trams as long as he can remember!

“I’ve been drawing everything with wheels since my childhood! In the ‘60s my parents didn’t have a car yet, so we had to use public transport. From the age of four I started to get interested in transport and in particular for trains and trams! I have sketchbooks full of drawings! ”

Jim attended the free drawing academy where he learned the basics of painting with poster paint, but he makes most works with oil paint, his favourite material.

The city has something magical in winter time when there is snow! ‘Winter Atmosphere’ is therefore inspired by the ‘60s in the snow!
Travel back in time with the exhibition and get completely into a winter atmosphere!

The exhibition can be seen until January 2nd!
