Echo’s van Verbinding (Echoes of Connection)
Artists on Migration & Mental Health
Exhibition at Beeldend Gesproken until 28 February
In the exhibition Echoes of Connection, six artists present works that explore their search for identity and the impact of a migration history on mental health. Each artist has a family background shaped by the migration stories of their ancestors.
The exhibition delves into how a family’s history affects the mental well-being of younger generations. Through various perspectives, the showcased works spark dialogue on this important topic. The exhibition features paintings, videos, tapestries, and sculptures.
Participating artists:
Yonah de Beer, Nina Boas, Constant van Kanten, Hertbert Glenn Kensmil, Sanna Martha, and Trinity Williams.
This exhibition is part of a long-term project in which Yonah de Beer, Nina Boas, and Sanna Martha host interactive performances and workshops. The results of these workshops will be showcased in a follow-up exhibition during Mental Health Awareness Week, from June 2 to 7.
This project is a collaboration with Stichting ADUNA and the project *Schepen, Koffers & Kruiden*, with special thanks to Rita Ettienne, Maghaly Herbonnet, and Maureen Koswal.
Our gratitude also goes to Stichting van Stigt-ing.
