Exhibition ‘Study for intimate archives’

In the Kleinste Galerietje (behind the metal door next to the entrance of Beeldend Gesproken {hyperlink} Zito Lema presents a tridimensional collage, with photographic prints on paper, which is part of a new series she is working on, around the topic of intimate archives.

Visual artist Aimée Zito Lema (NL/ARG, 1982) engages in her practice with questions around social memory and the body as an agent of resistance, making use of large photographic prints, sculptural installations and video. Zito Lema studied at the University of the Arts (IUNA), Buenos Aires, the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam and the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, And was artist in residence at the Rijksacademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam, 2015-2016 at the EYE Filmmuseum in 2019.

A large scale solo exhibition at the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam is now running till 22 August 2021.
