A Free Space for Imagination

Starting in February/March 2025, a new public space/venue called Hal West will open at De Hallen, located next to Denim City in the passage. The programming in this space, named Hal West, will actively contribute to the public, social, societal, and cultural character of De Hallen. The space (150-200 seats) will be multifunctionally designed to accommodate performances, (neighborhood) meetings, exhibitions, talk shows/lectures, (book) presentations, symposia with workshops, and meals at long tables. It will also be suitable for rentals, hosting events, and co-productions. Currently, the space is under development, and a website is being created.

Hal West will become a local platform for curious individuals, where community spirit and imagination take center stage. We encourage creativity and innovation by being a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of who you are. Through cultural and societal activities, we bring people together to exchange ideas and experiences, inspire one another, and get to know each other better.
