Exhibition “Love, Loss and Laughter”

The exhibition “Love, Loss and Laughter” aims to contribute to a better understanding of dementia and to a better support of people living with dementia. The exhibition is created by Cathy Greenblat who, after retiring as a sociology professor, developed herself as a photographer.

Dementia has no boundaries, it happens to people in all parts of the world. Good dementia care has no boundaries either and Cathy found examples of it in many different places.

“We hope the exhibition and masterclass will inspire informal carers, people with a form of dementia, policymakers and other professionals to talk about what really matters to them. To gather insight and new perspectives on ways to make use of several forms of difference for a kind and openminded Amsterdam.”

The exhibition can be seen in the Tollensstraat throughout April.
